Easton Reischl, of Scottsdale, in only his third AJGA Open, closed with a blazing 63 to finish 73–68–63 and win big at Old Hickory Country Club in Nashville.

🏆 Winning the AJGA Open (Nashville)

  • Easton, first off—what does it mean to you to win your first AJGA Open, especially against a field with some older, committed D1 players?
    • It means a lot. It opens so many new opportunities for me and I’m very excited.
  • When did you first realize during the tournament, “I can win this thing”?
    • I would say hole 15 was the clicking moment in my round when I chipped in on one of the hardest holes on the course.
  • What was the biggest difference between your first round and that final round 63?
    • My biggest difference was just cleaning up my mistakes, and I think my confidence during the round just kept increasing hole by hole in the final round.

🔥 Final Round 63 (-8)

  • Did you know where you stood on the leaderboard coming down the stretch?
    • I checked the leader board going into my last 5 and knew I was 2 back of the lead. I told myself I wasn’t here to finish top 3, I came here to win.
  • What was going through your mind on the last few holes with a chance to win?
    • I feel I stay locked in with guys who are committed because I practice around those guys all the time, and I know I can hang with them.
    • I wear a whoop and it lets me know my current heart rate. On the last putt of the day, I knew I needed to make it for birdie, my heart rate skyrocketed to 175 for the 5 foot putt!

🧠 Mental Game & Competing Up in Age

  • How do you stay mentally locked in when playing against guys already committed to college programs?
    • I would say I have surrounded myself with people where I practice, and those people motivate me to become the best I can be.
  • What’s your go-to thought or routine when you feel pressure building?
    • When I feel pressure building, I think more clearly about what I want to do and know I do it every day.

🌵 Arizona Golf Roots

  • Do you think playing in desert conditions gives you an edge in national events?
    • I certainly think Arizona has taught me to hit the ball straight because when you don’t it is not fun to play out of the desert.

🎯 Looking Ahead

  • What tournaments are you most excited for coming up?
    • Upcoming, I am most excited for the Heather Farr because I have always wanted to play and now, I get a chance to prove I am one of the best.

👊 Competitor Personality

  • Are you more of a calm, steady player—or do you feed off momentum and emotion?
    • I would say I tend to stay more emotionless on the course because I feel that’s when I play my best.

🎥 Fun / Personal

  • What do you like to do when you’re not playing golf?
    • When I’m not playing golf, I love to fish and just chill with friends.

💬 Closing

  • For younger junior golfers watching this—what advice would you give them about competing at a high level?
    • I would tell younger golfers to focus on the process, and your outcome will be there one day.
  • What would you tell a kid who dreams of winning their first AJGA event someday?
    • I would also say to someone who wanted to win an AJGA is to give yourself the best opportunity to compete and when the moment comes, take advantage to the best of your ability.
  • Where can we find you on social media?

Congratulations, Easton, on an incredible breakthrough victory. Your composure, confidence, and closing 63 showed exactly what it takes to win at the highest level. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to watch what comes next!
