Today’s Junior Golfer (TJG) is thrilled to celebrate Caroline and Claire Brooks, 13-year-old twin golfers from Arizona, who have officially qualified for the Notah Begay III (NB3) National Girls Golf Championship in Louisiana, taking place November 2–4, 2025!
These two rising stars have already built an impressive junior golf résumé—competing in multiple World Championships and earning recognition among the top-ranked junior girls in the country. But beyond their stats, what sets Claire and Caroline apart is their joy for the game. Known for their big smiles, constant laughter, and love for having fun, they transform the course into their playground—until it’s “go time,” when their fierce competitive spirit takes over.
Before boarding their flight from Arizona to Louisiana, we caught up with the twins for a few quick questions about their upcoming championship!
TJG: Congratulations to both of you on qualifying for the Girls National Championship! What went through your mind when you realized you made it?
Caroline: First, thank you for interviewing me. I was so excited to put together two solid rounds to qualify. I’ve been close a couple of times but finally got it done at the West Coast Girls Invitational back in January.

Claire: Yes, thank you for asking to interview me. It has taken me several tries to qualify and I am so excited and grateful that I shot a great score to qualify through the regional qualifier in New Mexico.

TJG: What are you most excited (or maybe nervous) about as you get ready to compete against some of the best girls in the country?
Caroline: I am nervous to play on TV. This will be my first time but I am also excited about the opportunity to have all I have worked for showcased.
Claire: I am excited to play on TV and against this competitive field.
TJG: Junior golf at this level can be intense — how do you stay composed and make confident swings under pressure?
Caroline: I play a lot of tournaments to mentally be prepared for moments like this. I do have a ritual of taking a deep breath and a moment to prepare and talk to God.
Claire: I am a pressure player. I love competition and I feel like I perform better when the stakes are higher.
TJG: Do you have a favorite club in your bag — one you can always count on when you need a big shot?
Caroline: My putter because I am most confident in my consistency with it. It can sometimes save me when I’ve gotten into trouble or have had a tough hole.
Claire: My 54 degree wedge— I am most confident from about 100 yards out and this is my go-to club at that distance.

TJG: You two have been competing side-by-side your whole lives — what’s it like to both qualify for a national championship together? Do you push each other or drive each other crazy sometimes?
Caroline: I’m not sure how many sets of girl twins have qualified for the Notah Begay National Championship, but I think it is rare. We definitely do both! I am always happy to have Claire in the field because I always know I have someone there to cheer me on. I love practicing and competing with Claire. I know we make each other better golfers and tougher mentally.
Claire: We push each other to practice harder and play better. There isn’t anyone else I would rather practice with. But she is still my sister and can drive me crazy ha. We definitely both like to beat each other but know we’re playing the whole field!

The upcoming National Championship, set to air on Golf Channel this December, is a milestone moment for the Brooks sisters. Their journey continues to inspire young golfers across Arizona and beyond.
TJG: Where can people find you on social media?
