Today’s Junior Golfer (TJG) recently delivered another $15,000 worth of donated golf equipment from a recent equipment drive to the Pops & Jr youth golf program, directly benefiting lower-income junior golfers at Dobson Ranch and Sierra Vista Golf Courses in Arizona.
For many of these kids, access to golf equipment is the single biggest barrier to ever stepping onto a course. This donation doesn’t just provide clubs — it opens doors.
TJG asked Pops & Jr Program Director Cheyanne Stewart how donations like this change lives:
“We never want equipment to be a barrier for juniors to play this amazing sport. A single golf club can teach a child responsibility, inspiration, and dedication.”
Through the support of Today’s Junior Golfer, Pops & Jr is able to send juniors home with a four-piece golf set during a six-week player development series. Instead of practicing occasionally, these kids now can take their equipment, practice more often, and develop a deeper passion for the game.
“When juniors can practice at their home course, their confidence grows — and so does their love for golf,” Stewart added.
TJG is proud to partner with Pops & Jr to help Arizona kids overcome financial barriers and discover the lifelong lessons the game of golf provides — discipline, character, perseverance, and hope.
